Ice2Thrust.Space is proud to spotlight Dr. Alena Probst, Project Manager at EnduroSat Space Services, whose remarkable career spans some of the most ambitious and far-reaching missions in modern space exploration.

Alena’s background is in aerospace engineering, with a PhD in space technology and early mission development. Over the course of her career, she has contributed to the design of an asteroid mining mission in the main belt, played a role in the early development of ESA’s BepiColombo mission to Mercury, and worked on planetary probe concepts targeting Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. She also spent two years at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory / California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California, where she worked on a software tool to help scientists and engineers select optimal atmospheric entry points for a probe designed to measure the atmospheric composition of Uranus or Neptune.

Today, as Project Manager at EnduroSat Space Services, Alena is responsible for the successful execution of missions from proposal to launch — on time and within scope. Her role spans client communication, requirements alignment, and coordinating internal teams across diverse areas of expertise to deliver on mission goals. Within Ice2Thrust, she brings this end-to-end mission perspective to the project, ensuring that engineering ambitions are matched by disciplined execution.

What drives her is a fascination with the mysteries that nature holds, and a desire to contribute to our understanding of the universe through science and engineering. From the inner solar system to the icy giants at its edge, Alena has spent her career turning that curiosity into impact.
