Ice2Thrust and ZEUS Join Forces to Advance Space Sustainability and Energy Innovation

At Ice2Thrust.Space (S4I2T), we are excited to announce our partnership with ZEUS, part of the Pathfinder Portfolio and an ambitious research project focused on zero-loss energy harvesting using nanowire solar cells in space. Our collaboration will drive advancements in sustainable in-orbit power generation and energy transmission, ensuring the long-term sustainability of space activities and energy solutions for Earth.
Our partnership reflects a shared vision for advancing innovation, improving resource efficiency, and accelerating the adoption of transformative technologies. Ice2Thrust.Space and ZEUS will work closely to promote each other’s milestones, updates, and event initiatives across our networks. By combining our strengths, we aim to increase our visibility in the global space ecosystem and support the ongoing evolution of space technologies. This includes showcasing ZEUS’s innovative work on radiation-resistant nanowire solar cells and exploring joint opportunities such as webinars and events to engage and benefit our broader communities.
What will the partnership between the two projects bring?
“The collaboration between the two projects presents exciting synergies that could significantly advance space exploration, especially for long-duration or deep-space missions. The combination of solar power with ice-based fuel production enables semi-autonomous spacecraft that can operate for years without resupply” – Prof. Magnus Borgström, Coordinator of the ZEUS Project.
