Brussels, Belgium – A call for a more dynamic, open, and outcome-driven market to secure Europe’s future in space was the central message from EnduroSat‘s Founder and CEO, Raycho Raychev, at the 18th European Space Conference held on January 27-28, 2026. Speaking on the Gold Stage, Raychev gave the NewSpace’s company perspective on bolstering the continent’s space capabilities.
During a high-level panel titled “Transforming Europe’s Space Industrial Base: Scaling Production, Resilience, and Economic Security,” Raychev emphasized that Europe’s swiftest route to a resilient and sovereign space presence lies in fostering a competitive environment. “Never prescribe the solution – set the challenge, let the market build and finance, and let the best one win,” he stated. This approach, he suggested, is key to scaling production, building resilience, and securing Europe’s economic future in the global space economy.
Raychev’s viewpoint contributed to a vital discussion among influential leaders in the European space sector. The panel featured a distinguished lineup of speakers, including:
- Lorena Boix Alonso, Deputy Director-General at DG DEFIS, European Commission
- Juan Tomás Hernani, Chief Executive Officer of Satlantis and President of YEESS
- Miguel Ángel Panduro, Chief Executive Officer of Indra Space
- Gabriele Pieralli, Chief Executive Officer of Telespazio
- Martin Sion, Chief Executive Officer of ArianeGroup
