Ice2Thrust and Fellow Projects Present Joint Research at NaFSKI Conference 2025

At the recent NaFSKI Conference (27-29 October 2025) in Sofia, Bulgaria, the Ice2Thrust team participated alongside E.T. Compact and GreenSWaP, presenting shared research topics and highlighting the benefits of collaboration within the EIC Pathfinder Portfolio “In Space Solar Energy Harvesting,” funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC).

The three projects showcased progress in complementary areas such as catalytic ignition, propulsion system integration, and other technologies critical to advancing sustainable propulsion. By fostering technical exchange across the portfolio, the collaboration continues to strengthen cooperation and innovation within the European propulsion community.

During the session, the Ice2Thrust team provided an update on key achievements from the past year, including:

  • Testing of the electrolyser system

  • Successful test firing of new additively manufactured hot-gas thruster prototypes

  • Testing of the fluidic docking interface

These developments demonstrate continued progress toward efficient, sustainable propulsion solutions.
